Balance
Balance
When I was 8 years old, I visited my grandma’s countryside farm. Out of nowhere, far east of the Mongolian steppe. The only work I did for 8 hours a day was fetching water from a small river to the herd and to my grandma. At first, I was struggling with 4 liters of water. Then I realized I could carry the same 4 liters on each of my arms.It was a fine moment I discovered balance in real life. Fast forward 24 years, I was doing cardio workout; suddenly, my left side back hurt a little — not serious, but a very annoying kind of pain. Instead of wishing it to go away, I was wanting the same pain to happen on the other side of my back.
The thing about balance is, it is not to be weighted with the opposite — like we say, how about work-life balance. I think there can be life/life or work/work balance too.
